This 38mm SC2 model SmartCarb maximizes the performance of BRC Racing YZM500 kit-equipped Yamaha YZ250 dirt bikes, offering greater efficiency and exceptional ease of use.

Fitment Information

This SmartCarb accepts the stock throttle cable.

An airboot trim IS REQUIRED for proper SmartCarb float bowl venting. The Yamaha YZ250 factory airboot has an in-molded rubber lip that can block the SmartCarb’s vent scoop, negatively affecting air density compensation and fuel flow assist at higher throttle positions. No obstruction is permissible. Trimming may be performed during installation with an x-acto knife or a dremel tool.

The MagVolt® TPS system is plug-and-play and clips into the same connector as the stock TPS. No adjustments or calibrations required. Short throw throttle cams or tamers are not recommended for TPS equipped bikes.

The stock carburetor may have a secondary two wire connection for an electronic power jet. Leave it disconnected and protect it from dirt/water by taping it up. Zip tie it out of harm’s way.
