This isn’t your grandpa’s carburetor. The All-New SmartCarb SC3 brings carburetion firmly into the 21st century. Instant success for my Pilot.
I was struggling with jetting the PWK that was installed on my Pilot when I ran across a review of the SmartCarb. I found out from SmartCarb that offballorv was a dealer for the Pilot/Odyssey. Though skeptical of the price point, I trusted in the reviews I saw and worked with Robert to order one for my Pilot.
I was initially very impressed with the build of the product and followed the provided instructions for installation. It fit tightly, but well in the stock location. The only modification was a trimming of the inside top lip of the airbox boot, as noted in SmartCarbs instructions.
My Pilot ran great instantly with the install. It idles and runs out incredibly well. Any slight adjustments I may have to make can be done externally without removing the carb, which is excellent for the tight fit on the Pilot. I am sold on the SC and will be saving up for another one for my other rides.
