Compatible with 36, 38, and 40mm SC2 and new SC3 model SmartCarbs.
This aluminum ring adapter may be press-fit onto the filter/airboot side spigot of 36-40mm SC2 and new SC3 model SmartCarbs, extending their end-to-end length (B dimension) by 10-17mm. Refer to the Dimensions tab below for specific measurements.

Description
The Extension Ring Adapter extends the overall length of 36-40mm SC2 and new SC3 model SmartCarbs by 10-17mm, depending on your selection. It is useful when equipping applications originally fitted with longer length carburetors like the older “long body” PE or PJ series Keihins or VM series Mikunis, for example.
B dimension (end-to-end length) change by model:
- 36-40mm SC2 from 83mm standard to 93-100mm
- 36-40mm SC3 from 80.5mm standard to 90.5-97.5mm
Note: If purchasing this product with a new 36-40mm SC3 model SmartCarb our technicians will press it onto the carburetor prior to shipping unless otherwise requested. All SmartCarb aluminum ring/bell adapters are press-fits and are not removable. Damage to the SmartCarb carburetor as a result of an attempt to remove the adapter after it has been installed will void its warranty. Choose the length you need carefully.
